WES students enjoy knitting club
Students in Becky Hallowell’s fourth grade class at Wiscasset Elementary School enjoyed their final session of knitting club recently. The students started gathering with their teacher after school each Tuesday in mid-January.
Several girls and boys learned how to knit, purl, cast on and bind off their various projects. Scarves, hats and pouches were crafted over the course of three months as the students would snack a little, chat a lot, and knit to their heart’s content.
Hallowell is pleased with the enthusiasm students brought to knitting club and looks forward starting again in the fall with a fresh group of knitters for her veteran knitters to coach.
