JHS celebration, fundraiser held at MMM
On June 1 at Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, Juniper Hill School for Place-Based Education’s community gathered to celebrate its environmentally attuned school in Alna. The school, finishing its eighth year, is celebrating its regional and national success in nature- and place-based education.
More than 100 people enjoyed the student art show, catered appetizers by Stone Cove Catering, and the silent (but good-naturedly competitive) auction. The school’s community thanks everyone who attended and the small business owners from eight communities for their generous contributions. We raised awareness of our school and programs, and more than $4,000 to support our mission.
