‘Abstractions’ show at Maine Art Gallery opens June 29
A reception for seven Maine artists whose work is included in the Maine Art Gallery’s upcoming show will be held at the gallery on Warren Street in Wiscasset from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 29. Gallery hours for the remainder of the show are 10 a.m. to 4p.m., Thursday - Saturday. through July 27.
Vocalist Lynda D’Amore and keyboardist Bill Duffy will provide music for the opening. Guests will view lyrical abstract paintings by Marjorie Arnett, aluminum relief sculptures by Peter Bennett, welded sculpture by Susan Bennet, exquisite geometric renderings by Michele Caron, acrylic sculptures by Stew Henderson, rustic spheres by Jay Sawyer, and bold, rhythmic abstract paintings by Abby Shahn.
The Maine Art Gallery Wiscasset is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and preservation of painting, sculpture and graphic arts through exhibitions, lectures, demonstrations, and educational programs for children and adults.
