All students at BJU, located in Greenville, South Carolina, may audition for the University Handbell Choir.
Under the direction of Alan Lohr, the group performed a selection of traditional carols and modern Christmas musical selections on Dec. 4. On April 10, members of the choir will present a spring recital featuring music from around the world.
The BJU handbell program began in 1992 with three octaves of handbells and eleven recruited students. The choir has since grown into a double choir of twenty ringers and performs in a variety of settings including University chapel, recitals, and concerts.
