County Democrats invite U.S. Senate Democratic candidates to May meeting
All three U.S. Senate Democratic contenders have been invited to the May meeting of the Lincoln County Democratic Committee (LCDC). Betsy Sweet and Bre Kidman accepted and will be attending the online forum in which each candidate will have a chance to answer questions from LCDC members and guest attendees. All registered Lincoln County Democrats and unenrolled progressives are welcome to participate.
"We expect most people will cast their vote for the July 14 primary by absentee ballot, which will be available before our June meeting," said LCDC Chair Chris Johnson.
“Maine people need someone in Washington who hasn't forgotten how to put our interests first, so this is an excellent chance to learn more about two of the great candidates for U.S. Senate before you cast your vote in the primary,” he added.
The LCDC will meet online on Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m. Pre-registration is required to receive access. To attend online, via Zoom, register at https://lincolncountydemocrats.com/meet. To listen by phone only, register at https://lincolncountydemocrats.com/phone. The LCDC does not anticipate any participant limitations but does ask that registrations be submitted before noon the day of the meeting. They will do their best to accommodate last-minute registrations. Anyone who needs help using Zoom may log on at 6:30 p.m. for a brief tutorial or contact info@lincolncountydemocrats.com with questions.
