Alfred W. Ford
Alfred Waterlow “Al” Ford, age 87, of Bethesda, Maryland and summer resident of Southport Island, passed away in his Bethesda home on Nov. 26, 2021.
Born and raised in California by his parents Norman and Helen, Al graduated from University of California/Berkeley, then got a degree in foreign relations from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Al enjoyed playing tennis with friends at Juniper Point, (competing in many tennis tournaments), going to Southport General Store for a newspaper, eating blueberry pie and ice cream, as well as taking his family out in his boat.
