Nancy Fitts-Neilson of East Boothbay died at Maine Medical Center in Portland on March 13.

A native of Massachusetts, she and her husband Larz Neilson had moved to the Bridge House in Boothbay Harbor in 1993. They ran a summer gift shop there for several years while living upstairs. They then built a timber-frame home in East Boothbay.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a niece, Christine Valters Paintner of Galway, Ireland, a sister-in-law, Helen Fitts of Lexington, Massachusetts, and a brother, Dr. F.B. Fitts of California. Her sister, Suzanne Valters died in 2003.

A memorial gathering will be held in the spring.
