This week at Harbor Theater
“The Outfit” – (R; some bloody violence, crude language - 1 hour, 46 minutes) - Leonard (Mark Rylance) is a tailor caught up in the crosshairs of gangster rivalry and dangerous dealings. A true craftsman, Leonard has high regard for his art. After being forced to leave London's Savile Row because of a personal tragedy, he emigrates to the U.S. and sets up shop in Chicago, where he keeps his head down and his mouth shut. That’s precisely why his shop soon becomes a hub of operations for the mob. Things get out of hand for Leonard with all the gorillas in his vicinity, back-stabbing and ratting each other out, nobody knowing whom they can trust or who to whack. Final screenings: Wednesday, April 6, 7 p.m. and Thursday, April 7, 8 p.m.
“Infinite Storm” – (R; 1 hour, 44 minutes) - As an experienced climber (Naomi Watts) ascends New Hampshire’s Mt. Washington, but turns back before she reaches the summit as a huge blizzard approaches. On her way down, she encounters a lone, stranded man (Billy Howle), and takes it upon herself to get them both down the mountain before nightfall arrives and they succumb to the storm. Based on a true story. Playing at 7 p.m. Friday, April 8; Saturday, April 9; Wednesday, April 13 and Thursday, April 14; Sunday, April 10 at 2 p.m.
“There are crackerjack action scenes that make the most of the real locations as well as the actors' phenomenal tenacity and strength." — RogerEbert.com
“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” – (PG-13; fantasy, action violence) – Special 2 p.m. matinee Wednesday of school vacation week. Continuing in J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter tradition, this is the third installment of the Fantastic Beasts series. Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald's growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines? Cast includes Mads Mikkelsen, Katherine Waterston, Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law. Plays Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2 and 7 p.m., Thursday, April 21, 7 p.m; and Sunday, April 17, 2 p.m.
