“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” – (PG-13; fantasy, action violence) - Continuing in J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter tradition, this is the third installment of the Fantastic Beasts series. Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald's growing legion of followers. “The Messenger” - (1 hr 29 minutes) - Sponsored by Boothbay Region Land Trust. Special guest speaker: Dr. Jeffrey Wells, Vice President of Boreal Conservation for the National Audubon Society. An artful investigation into the causes of songbird mass depletion and the people working to turn the tide. This visually thrilling film reveals how issues facing birds also pose daunting implications for our planet. Dr. Wells has connections to this film and will be sharing information on the birds of Maine and beyond, the plights they face, and what can be done about it. Free event. “The Godfather” - (1972) – (R; 2 hours, 55 minutes) - It’s the 50th Anniversary of one of the greatest films of all time directed by Francis Ford Coppola, screenplay by author Mario Puzo and Coppola. Spanning the years 1945 to 1955, it is a chronicle of the fictional Italian-American Corleone crime family. When the family patriarch, Vito Corleone, barely survives an attempt on his life, his youngest son, Michael steps in to take care of the would-be killers, launching a campaign of bloody revenge. Although Michael tries to maintain a normal family life he is drawn deeper into the family business. Two shows only: at 5 p.m. Monday, April 25, 5 p.m. and Wednesday, April 27, 1 p.m.

Harbor Theater is open five days a week, nightly at 7 with a matinee only on Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for members and children under 18. Tickets will be sold at the concession stand. ADA-mandated Audio Descriptive (AD) and Closed Caption (CC) devices available for the visually and hearing-impaired. Inquire at the concession stand.
