WMHS senior pics adorn downtown
Wiscasset Middle High School’s Class of 2022 has another place to shine – in photos now on display downtown and that will later go on the new graduates’ lawns, Technology Coordinator/VHS Site Coordinator/Student Council Advisor Deb Pooler said.
Pooler said Selectman and Appearance of the Town Committee Chair Terry Heller and committee member Larry Flowers were also involved. “Larry attached them to the granite ballasts (and) Terry was a huge support to me in my efforts to get these done for our Wiscasset seniors. It is the first time they have been displayed on Main Street in Wiscasset.”
Pooler added, the alumni association did not hold a banquet this year and, on June 4, the alumni committee will prepare the senior class a breakfast and send the class on a Funtown trip. “Each senior will receive a gift bag in addition to the breakfast. The Alumni Committee is so proud of the Alumni Association's members who donated to make this happen for the kids,” said Pooler, committee chair. The annual alumni banquet was not held “due to the (Center for Disease Control) CDC guidelines and COVID, and to protect the health of our members,” she explained via email.
