Jane G. (Regan) Spear, 99, of Boothbay Harbor, passed away on May 31, 2022. 

On June 12, 1922, she was born to James and Anna Regan in Boston, Massachusetts.

Jane grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts, one of eight siblings and was an alumna of Northeastern University. She was a health care administrator, operating Auburn House nursing home in Jamacia Plain and was an ombudsman for seniors in the Boothbay region for many years.

Jane was a dear friend to many. She enjoyed her book group and visits from her family.

Jane is survived by her three children, Elizabeth J. Spear and her wife Evelyn Gladu of Melrose, Massachusetts, Stephen Spear and his wife Betsy of Westwood, Massachusetts and Andrew Spear of Boothbay Harbor; six grandchildren, David Spear, Laura Spear, Mark Spear, Kerry Wilson, Kasey Feola and William Spear; nine great-grandchildren; and many treasured nieces and nephews.

Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband Edwin P. Spear.

Details are pending for a memorial service at St. Columba's Episcopal Church.
