There is certainly something for everyone this weekend at The Lincoln! The next take on an Agatha Christie favorite, “See How They Run” opens Friday. The Y Arts youth are back live on-stage Friday and Saturday, and on Sunday we have the first ever Dog Video Fest and a special pop-up comedy show, featuring Los Angeles comedians Jeremy Brothers, Ryan Gaul, Kiel Kennedy, and Christian Roberts. We hope to see you at the theater for one or all of these great events!

Moonage Daydream (PG-13; 2 hours, 14 minutes): A cinematic odyssey exploring David Bowie’s creative, spiritual and musical journey. From the visionary mind of Brett Morgen, Moonage Daydream features captivating, never-before-seen footage and performances spanning Bowie’s 54-year career. The film includes 40 exclusively remastered Bowie songs and is the first film ever sanctioned by the Bowie Estate, with local access to the artists’ archives. See How They Run (PG-13; 1 hour, 38 minutes): Attention all Agatha Christie fans! “See How They Run” is set backstage in a 1950s London production of the long-running Agatha Christie play “The Mousetrap.” In the West End, plans for a movie version of the smash-hit play come to an abrupt halt after a pivotal member of the crew is murdered. When world-weary Inspector Stoppard (Oscar winner Sam Rockwell) and eager rookie Constable Stalker (Oscar nominate Saoirse Ronan) take on the case, the two find themselves thrown into a puzzling whodunit within the glamorously sordid theater underground, investigating the mysterious homicide at their own peril. Playing Friday, Oct. 21 at 2 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m., and Thursday, Oct .27 at 2 p.m. Presented in partnership with J. Edward Knight.

Y Arts presents: Frog and Toad Kids! This whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special. Sloan Nelson and Jessie Ullo lead a cast of 30 local youth performers! Don’t miss this adorable show. Friday, Oct. 21 at 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m. Tickets: $5 General Admission.

The Met Live in HD: Medea (Approx. run time; 3 hours, 6 minutes) with Pre-Opera Talk. Having triumphed at the Met in some of the repertory’s fiercest soprano roles, Sondra Radvanovsky stars as the mythic sorceress who will stop at nothing in her quest for vengeance, kicking off the highly anticipated 2022–23 Live in HD season. Joining Radvanovsky in the Met-premiere production of Cherubini’s rarely performed masterpiece is tenor Matthew Polenzani as Medea’s Argonaut husband, Giasone; soprano Janai Brugger as her rival for his love, Glauce; bass Michele Pertusi as Medea’s father, Creonte, the King of Corinth; and mezzo-soprano Ekaterina Gubanova as Medea’s confidante, Neris. Dog Video Fest 2022. From the folks behind Cat Video Fest, comes Dog Video Fest! It’s exactly what you think it is. Every year we go through thousands of dog videos and put together a 75-minute reel of the best, funniest, most touching and most surprising canine vids we can find. This reel plays in theaters around the globe and raises money for local dog shelters and animal welfare organizations. Then at the end of the year, we start all over and do it again! It’s a tough job, but some puppy has to do it. 10% of all Lincoln Theater ticket sales will be donated to MidCoast Humane. Sunday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m., and Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.

McCurdy Point Improv Comedy Show! For one night only, downtown Damariscotta will be filled with laughter! Lincoln Theater is pleased to welcome members of the cast and crew of McCurdy Point, an independent film currently shooting in Lincoln County, for a fully improvised comedy show! With members of The Groundlings in Los Angeles and alums of Improv Asylum from Boston and New York, the show is guaranteed to be a great time for a great cause – 50% of all ticket sales will go directly to funding the McCurdy Point film project. One night only – Sunday, Oct. 23 at 5 p.m. Tickets: $15 Adult, $13 LT Members, and $5 Youth 18 and under.
