Mary L. Rogers
Mary Louise Houston Rogers passed away of natural causes on Dec. 5, 2022.
Mary Louise was born on Nov. 19, 1946 to Raymond and Louise (Miles) Houston in Bangor, Maine.
She graduated from Higgins Classical Institute, class of 1965, and pursued LPN training in Bangor.
Mary Lou owned and operated the Miss Wiscasset Diner on Route 1 from 1972 to 2004. Her customers were always treated like family and really enjoyed her specialties.
She was a mom, mentor and friend to many in her community. Mary Lou lived her life with great energy, knowledge, and a vibrant personality. She was an avid sports fan.
Mary Lou is survived by her sons Robert Rogers Jr. and Randy (Dee) Rogers; daughter Ronda (Eric) Shipley; four grandchildren, twin brothers Troy and Travis Rogers, Garrett Davis and Jade Shipley; sisters Ruth (John) Wert, Ruby Houston (Frank Woytowich) and Helen Houston (Norman Clough); brother Raymond Houston; nieces, nephews, and special niece Michelle Harrington.
She was predeceased by her parents and sisters Barbara and Althea Houston.
Mary Lou will be missed by many.
There will be a private burial in the spring.
