Life-saving opportunities at Boothbay Region Adult & Community Education
Boothbay Region Adult & Community Education is partnering with Healthy Lincoln County to offer free Narcan (naloxone) administration training in April. The next class is scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Edgecomb Eddy School.
Teaching community members how to help save a life during a drug overdose is part of Healthy Lincoln County’s harm reduction effort. The organization makes Narcan available to anyone in the region thanks to a partnership with MaineGeneral Health. To learn more, visit healthylincolncounty.org.
Narcan administration will also be featured in the next HeartSaver CPR, AED, and first aid for adults and children training class on Saturday, May 6 with instructor John Coffin.
In between, April classes include an online presentation about the History of Malaga Island with Master Maine Guide Alice Bean Andrenyak on Wednesday, April 12. Craig Hoffman is back with his online instant piano on April 17 and instant guitar on April 18, plus the all-new How to Play Piano By Ear, on April 27.
