‘The Blues Brothers’ comes to the Dreamland Theater
Sagadahoc Preservation's Dreamland Theater will screen “The Blues Brothers” on Thursday, November 7 at 7 p.m. The Blues Brothers originated as a 1978 Saturday Night Live sketch with John Belushi singing lead vocal on “Soul Man” with Dan Aykroyd and “the” band. In 1980, the R-rated musical comedy, “The Blues Brothers,” was released. The sensation “Jake and Elwood Blues” caused has resulted in the film's achieving cult classic status. This screening is sponsored by Wilson's Drug Store in Bath.
Movies are shown every Thursday at the Dreamland Theater at the Winter Street Center in Bath. The suggested donation is $5. The 2013-2014 season is underwritten by Jorgensen Landscaping. Movies are generously donated by River Bottom Video in Bath. All proceeds go toward the maintenance of the Winter Street Center.
Feel free to bring supper. Soft drinks and candies are available for $1 each.
The Winter Street Center is located across from Library Park at 880 Washington Street in Bath. It is the home of Sagadahoc Preservation Inc. and serves, in part, as a community center.
