Tapestry Singers prepare for new season

The fall season is underway for Tapestry Singers, under the leadership of Beth Preston, who directed the group for seven years prior to the tenure of Sandy Falconer.
The group’s numbers have increased and all look forward to the holiday concert, which will feature Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “The First Nowell,” with baritone John Adams and soprano Amy Lalime.
Other works include several Wassails, songs of Hanukkah, and works by Rutter, Warlock and Fissinger.
The performances will take place Thursday, Dec. 20 and Friday, Dec. 21 at the Second Congregational Church in Newcastle.
