Singers sought for March production of ‘The Mikado’
Lincoln County Community Theater (LCCT), the resident theater company at Damaricotta’s Lincoln Theater, continues its series of semi-staged concert performances of Gilbert and Sullivan operettas with the last of the big three, "The Mikado."
The company is seeking singers of all voice parts to join the Quite Content Chorale, which will make up the chorus for the production. Memorization is not required, but a good sense of humor and the willingness to invest in having a good time are.
Rehearsals will primarily be held on Sunday afternoons, with additional rehearsals during the week of the performances.
"The Mikado" is considered by many to be one of the most popular operas of all time. There will be four shows the weekend of March 6. The Never, Never Sick at Sea Symphony Orchestra, featuring the DaPonte String Quartet, returns as will many soloists and chorus members.
Interested singers should contact John Mulcahy, production supervisor, at lcctseason@gmail.com or call the theater at 207-563-3424.
The Lincoln Theater is located at 2 Theater Street.
