Plow truck strikes pole in Damariscotta
No one was hurt and traffic was stopped briefly late Monday morning when a Hagar Enterprises plow truck collided with a utility pole in Damariscotta, officials for the firm and the Damariscotta Fire Department said.
The pole at the Bristol Road-Main Street intersection was a support pole and will be replaced by Central Maine Power, Assistant Fire Chief Jon Pinkham said. The truck had some damage around the back of its loader but was expected to be back in use on the roads later in the day, Hagar Enterprises co-owner Justin Hagar said.
The fire department was called out to the scene at 11:20 a.m., Pinkham said. The intersection was shut down for about five minutes, he said.
