A Bremen woman on bail conditions preventing her from drinking alcohol was arrested Feb. 18 by Damariscotta Police.

Chassedy Foster, 33, of Bremen was arrested by Damariscotta Police Officer Erick Halpin and pleaded not guilty to violating the conditions of her release.

Halpin was called to a Church Street residence at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 when Foster allegedly would not leave. When Halpin spoke with Foster, she allegedly had a scent of alcohol on her breath; when Halpin asked her if she had been drinking, she reportedly said that she had.

When Foster was transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset and was tested, she reportedly had a blood alcohol level of .29. She was taken first to Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta, then eventually cleared for jail, according to Halpin's arrest report.

Foster was on bail convictions for a pair of felony charges relating to an alleged incident in August 2014 when she allegedly furnished marijuana and Klonopin to a minor. For the two alleged offenses, Foster was indicted by the Lincoln County Grand Jury in 2014 and was charged with two Class C aggravated unlawful furnishing of drugs.

She had originally been charged with one Class B count of aggravated unlawful furnishing, but it was downgraded to two Class C charges. Her court date for the alleged drug charges was scheduled for March 26 at Lincoln County Superior Court.

As part of her original bail conditions, she was not to have contact with the alleged victim, or to use or possess drugs or alcohol.

For the new charge, Foster was charged with Class E violating the conditions of her release, which is a misdemeanor. If convicted for the Class E crime, Foster could face up to six months in a county jail and a potential fine of up to $1,000. Class C crimes carry a maximum of five years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine.

She will have a hearing at Lincoln County District Court on April 13 for the violation of conditions charge. She will also have to refrain from using drugs or alcohol and not return to the Church Street residence.
