“Woman in Gold” is based on the remarkable true story of the late Maria Altmann (played by Helen Mirren), and her decade long battle to reclaim Gustav Klimt's iconic painting of her aunt “Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I,” confiscated from her relatives by the Nazis in Vienna just prior to World War II. Final screenings are Wednesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m.
“Tomorrowland”: Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (George Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as Tomorrowland. What they must do there changes the world — and them — forever.
Featuring a screenplay by “Lost” writer and co-creator Damon Lindelof and Brad Bird, “Tomorrowland” is based on a story written by Lindelof, Bird and Jeff Jensen.
“Tomorrowland” plays Friday, May 22 through Thursday, May 28 at 7 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2.
