Damariscotta woman pleads guilty to Oxy trafficking
A Damariscotta woman pleaded guilty May 18 to drug charges and will be sent to jail for nine months.
Kristina Donahue, 35, of Damariscotta, was sentenced May 18 to four years in prison with all but nine months suspended for unlawful drug trafficking. Donahue will also have to pay $515 in fines.
She was originally charged with two counts of class A aggravated trafficking, but one count was dropped to class B trafficking and the other was dismissed as part of the plea deal.
Donahue will have to complete substance abuse counseling as part of her plea deal and will be on probation for two years. She is scheduled to begin serving her sentence July 1.
Donahue was arrested twice in May 2014 by Special Agent James Pease. She was charged with one count of class A aggravated drug trafficking in South Bristol, within 1,000 feet of a school, May 8 and again May 14 in Damariscotta, also within 1,000 of a school. Both times she was alleged to have trafficked Oxycodone, which is classified as a schedule W drug.
Donahue was indicted by the Lincoln County Grand Jury in 2014 for the two drug charges. Class B crimes are felonies and have a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and up to $20,000 in fines.
