Hidden Valley Nature Center (HVNC) in Jefferson is excited to announce the fourth annual Live Edge Music Festival on Sunday, August 23, noon-6 p.m. Four great bands will bring HVNC’s outdoor pavilion to life with a stunning variety of music. A limited number of advance tickets are on sale now and come with an irresistible offer!

Purchase a ticket for $20 and you’ll get a coupon for a 2-for-1 entrée at any of eight participating restaurants: Newcastle Publick House, Damariscotta River Grill, Crissy’s, Montsweag Roadhouse, Le Garage, El Camino, The Liberal Cup, or Slates. Kicking off the day local favorites Red Bird will feature eclectic sounds from swing, old time, bluegrass, folk, and more! Next up, singer songwriter Oen Kennedy. In addition to being an award winning musician Kennedy is a naturalist and master bird whistler.

Then, Primo Cubano. Their goal is to get everyone up and moving to the irresistible pulse of classic Cuban music from the twentieth century. The headliner for this year’s festival is Inanna, Sisters in Rhythm. Playing together for more than twenty years these women are dedicated to the power of healing and transformation through rhythm. Steeped in a variety of percussion and vocal traditions from around the world Inanna’s performances are always powerful, joyful, and stirring.

Also, HVNC will be launching a new version of the acclaimed Trail Guys game! In conjunction with the CLC YMCA and Skidompha library HVNC will organize an incredibly fun game that will get kids and families out on the trails and on the hunt for the Trail Guys. More details coming soon!

There will be food on sale from Sheepscot General and Jyang Lee Kitchens, and beer from Allagash, Geary’s, and the Liberal Cup.
