The Novel Jazz Septet (NJS) will will be appearing at the Lincoln Theater on Saturday, July 11 at 7:30 p.m. They’ll feature some rarely-heard Billy Strayhorn pieces, songs unearthed during visits to the Smithsonian; as well as better-known compositions.
This year, the NJS shows are being listed as part of the official international Strayhorn Centennial Celebration events, based out of Chicago (www.billystrayhorn.com).
This will be their only public appearance in Lincoln County this summer.
