Damariscotta Police Department: Four arrests
The Damariscotta Police report the following activity from March 28 to April 3, 2016.
March 28
Chief Young is investigating a report of forgery on Abbie Lane.
Officer Halpin investigated a report of suspicious activity on Parking Lot Lane.
Sgt. Warlick assisted the fire department on Biscay Road and conducted a sex offender registry at the police department.
March 29
Officer Halpin is conducting a drug investigation on Biscay Road, responded to an alarm on School Street, and attempted to locate a subject on Hodgdon Street.
Chief Young is investigating a report of shoplifting from Reny’s.
James Corscaden of Damariscotta was summonsed for unsworn falsification by Officer Halpin.
Sgt. Warlick investigated a juvenile problem on Meadow Court and assisted another agency on Standpipe Road.
March 30
Kathleen Peabody of Jefferson was warned for speeding and summonsed for insurance on Main Street by Officer Dotson.
Chief Young took a report of an erratic vehicle on Bristol Road.
Nancie Atwell of Southport Island was summonsed for theft by unauthorized taking by Chief Young.
Officer Dotson responded to a non-reportable accident on Miles Street, is investigating a report of threatening on Main Street, investigated an accident on Main Street, and investigated a 9-1-1 hang up on Theatre Street.
Chief Young investigated a late report of a car vs. deer accident on Bristol Road. The deer was not located and the damage was non-reportable.
Sgt. Warlick warned Hayley Poland of Bremen for speeding on School Street, conducted a bail check on Biscay Road, and arrested Joy Hamilton of Damariscotta on a warrant.
March 31
The following were warned for a defect on Main Street by Officer Dotson: Nikiane Griffin of Bristol, Paul Pinkham of Windsor and Brian Westhaver of Newcastle.
William Dagley of Waldoboro was summonsed for speeding on Main Street by Officer Dotson.
Simon Frost of Alna was warned for failing to dim headlights on Main St. by Officer Dotson.
Chief Young and Officer Dotson investigated a report of shoplifting from Yellowfront.
Officer Dotson investigated a police information report on Coastal Market Drive.
Kent Little of Damariscotta was arrested for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violating conditions of release by Officer Dotson.
Officer Dotson is investigating a report of threatening and harassment on Lessner Road.
Officer Sylvester investigated a report of suspicious activity on Lewis Point Road.
Stuart Goode of Damariscotta was warned for speeding on Main Street by Officer Sylvester.
Officer Sylvester investigated a report of suspicious activity on Elm Street.
April 1
Sgt. Warlick conducted a drug investigation.
Officer Dotson took a report of possible fraudulent activity on Main Street, investigated a motor vehicle accident on Main Street, responded to a report of suspicious activity on Coastal Market Drive, investigated a juvenile problem on Main Street, conducted a pedestrian check on Coastal Market Drive, and assisted with a civil complaint on White Oak Ridge Rd.
Officer Sylvester assisted a citizen on Pinkham Road, warned Richard Blanc of Bristol for inspection and arrested on a warrant, assisted a citizen on Powell Lane, and investigated a juvenile problem on Main Street
April 2
Officer Dotson investigated an alarm on School Street and investigated a parking problem on Parking Lot Lane.
Maryann Morse of Winchendon, Massachusetts was warned for speeding on Bristol Road by Officer Sylvester.
Josh Borne, of Maine, New York was warned for a stop sign violation on Main Street by Officer Sylvester.
April 3
Timothy Derosier of Damariscotta was arrested on two warrants by Officer Dotson.
Officer Dotson took a report of a traffic hazard on Bristol Road, investigated an alarm on Main Street, and summonsed Leslie Swett of Warren for insurance on Main Street.
