Man with ties to Damariscotta arraigned on sexual abuse charges

Patrick Logan Patterson, 26, of Brunswick, was arraigned April 20 on three counts of sexual abuse of a minor.
He was arrested in Brunswick on a warrant from Sagadahoc County on April 16.
All of the alleged crimes took place in Topsham in the spring and summer of 2014. One is a Class C offense, because Patterson was 10 years or older than the victim at the time of the alleged offense. The other two are Class D misdemeanors, since Patterson was five or more years older than the victim at the time of the alleged offense.
According to the court clerk, Patterson was previously listed as a transient staying in Damariscotta. He is now listed as living in Brunswick.
Patterson was being held at Two Bridges Regional Jail. His bail amount was initially $10,000, but was reduced at his arraignment to $5,000 cash bail.
His court date will be June 8 at the West Bath District Court on Old Meadows Road.
