NHFW celebration of women leaders and fundraiser
As the first woman district attorney in New England, and Maine’s first female attorney general, Janet Mills is the ideal guest of honor and speaker for the upcoming benefit for New Hope for Women. The event, scheduled for Thursday, June 23 from 4-7 p.m. at The Boardroom in Boothbay Harbor, is an evening dedicated to celebrating the many strong women in Maine and the positive change they can effect.
With a limited number of tickets available, this will be an intimate gathering in which guests will have the opportunity to speak with Attorney General Janet Mills, learn about the impact domestic violence has on families in Maine, celebrate the social progress Maine women have made, and participate in a Q & A session with Ms. Mills, all while benefiting New Hope for Women. Ms. Mills has a wealth of experience addressing the issue of domestic violence in the state of Maine, and will provide a unique perspective to the Midcoast community who seek to support New Hope for Women’s efforts.
Tom Myette of The Boardroom is hosting the event, with delicious and special wines donated by Jack Scully of Easterly Wines, and hors d’oeuvres catered by Ports of Italy.
With fine wine and hors d’oeuvres and a first hand encounter with the Attorney General, this will certainly be an evening to remember.
Tickets are $250 per person, $220 of which is a charitable donation and may be tax deductible.
There are a variety of sponsorship options available as well. Tickets and sponsorships are available for purchase online at tinyurl.com/NewHopeBenefit16 or by contacting Jamilah Gregory.
The Boardroom is located at 29 McKown Street in Boothbay Harbor, at the corner of Todd Avenue and McKown Street.
