Healthy Lincoln County is sponsoring eleven (11) local summer meal sites this year for the Summer Food Service Program. Most sites will begin offering breakfast and/or lunch on Monday, June 20. A full list of where and when meals will be offered is as follows:

• Boothbay and Boothbay Harbor

• Boothbay Region YMCA, Monday through Friday (June 20-Aug 26)
• Camp Knickerbocker YMCA, Monday through Friday (June 20-Aug 26)
• Campbell Creek Housing, Monday through Friday (lunch only) (June 27-Aug 26)
• Clifford Park, Monday through Friday (lunch only) (June 20-Aug 26)

• Bristol Congregational Church, Fridays only (July 8-Aug 19)
• Damariscotta at Central Lincoln County YMCA, Monday through Friday (June 20-Aug 26)
• Edgecomb at Davis Island Housing, Monday through Friday (lunch only) (June 27-Aug 26)
• Waldoboro at Medomak Valley High School, Monday through Friday (June 20-Aug 12)
• Waldoboro at Miller School, Monday through Friday (June 20-Aug 12)
• Warren Elementary School/ACES, Monday & Friday (Field Trips Tues-Thurs) (June 20-Aug 19)
• Wiscasset Recreation Center, Monday through Friday (June 27-Aug 19)

“We know that learning doesn’t end when school lets out. Neither does the need for good nutrition. With the help of our partner sites and volunteers, we can offer healthy meals at convenient locations in our communities,” says Kate Marone, Director of Healthy Lincoln County.  Last summer, over 10,200 meals were served to children in Lincoln County.
Summer meals also help families in the community save money while providing a fun, safe place for all kids, ages 0-18 to eat a healthy meal. Many of the sites will have fun activities including nutrition classes, sports and games, raffles, and visits with special guests.

The meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
