A quilt raffle sale to benefit the American Cancer Society will take place on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ames True Value in Wiscasset. Members of the Beta Rho Wiscasset chapter of Beta Sigma Phi chose the fabric and Martha Speed, an experienced quilter, made the queen-size quilt.

In past years we have sent the American Cancer Society $1,000. Tickets are $2 each or six for $10. If you are unable to stop in at Ames on the 29th, come see us at the Bath Early Bird Sale on the following Saturday, Nov. 5 in front of Reny's (between 6 and 8 a.m.).
