Biden’s experience, executive function defy age stereotype
Dear Editor:
As discussions continue about President Biden’s age and capabilities to serve another term, it’s important to dispel age-related stereotypes and emphasize the invaluable experience and executive function he brings to the White
House.
Yes, he may stumble over a few words, or mistake an identification of someone, but that is something medical experts say can happen at any stage of life and is not an indicator of ability to lead.
What is far more important in judging the president is to remember his wealth of experience spanning decades, first as a U.S. Senator for many years, then as vice president for eight years, and now as president, seeking a
second term.
Over a lifetime, Biden has forged bipartisan relationships, navigated complex domestic and international problems, and demonstrated a deep knowledge of the world.
In a time of unprecedented challenges, President Biden’s experience and executive function are qualities that America needs in its leader. Let’s move beyond age stereotypes and focus on what is essential.
