The Boothbay Region Health Center in the Meadow Mall at 185 Townsend Ave now has access to one of the most advanced COVID-19 antibody tests currently available. Vibrant America has been a lab we have used for tick-borne disease testing and we've been pleased with their accuracy. The company has developed a COVID-19 antibody test that will test four (4) antigens and three (3) antibodies each, resulting in 12 different measures for past exposure or current exposure to COVID-19. This test is more accurate than the current tests available, and even some that are being developed.

If you were sick in December, January, February, or March, and are wondering if you might have had COVID-19, this test will provide the peace of mind you need.

To get tested, call the Health Center at 207-633-1075 to be scheduled for a televisit with one of our providers. Once you've been screened, they will prescribe the test. The test costs $150. The Vibrant Covid-19 antibody/antigen test is not covered by health insurance, but you can use funds from a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

We plan to start by scheduling one testing day per week. If there's greater demand, we'll add more days. We hope to be able to offer additional COVID-19 testing options within the next few weeks.
