Jefferson man charged with domestic assault
A Jefferson man faces charges after Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies Dwight Fowles and Mark Bridgham responded to a domestic disturbance in Jefferson Feb. 18. The suspect, Wayne Little, 27, allegedly fled prior to their arrival.
Deputy Kevin Dennison and K9 Duke responded to help locate Little. After tracking him for a long distance, the dog lost the scent at a roadway, where it was believed Little was picked up by a motorist.
Fowles applied for and received an arrest warrant for Little, and on Feb. 21, Little turned himself in to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in Wiscasset.
Little was charged with Aggravated Assault (strangulation), Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening, and Obstructing the Report of a Crime. He was being held at the Two Bridges Regional Jail without bail pending a court appearance.
