‘L’avenir: A Collection of Dances’ in early May
Elizabeth Drucker’s Ballet School will premier “L’avenir — A Collection of Dances for All Ages,” on May 3 and 4 at 2 p.m. at Topsham’s Orion Performing Arts Center.
This new ballet, set to a diverse selection of classical music, features original choreography by the school’s director, Elizabeth Drucker Treadwell, formerly of New York City Ballet.
The gifted cast of over 85 young dancers, includes pre-professional students from The Ballet School’s Advanced Training Program, from across Midcoast Maine. Many of which hail from Edgecomb.
All will perform under John Urquhart’s enchanting lighting and set design. With pieces ranging in tone from sentimental to exuberant, audiences of all ages are sure to be delighted by this beautiful collection of dances.
General admission tickets are available at the door: $12/adult and $10/seniors and children.
The Orion Performing Arts Center is located at 40 Republic Avenue in Topsham.
