letter to the editor
Letter was a winner
Dear Editor,
Bill Hunt of Southport made my day on Monday when I read his letter to the editor opposing a state government proposal to require more electric vehicles in the state (“Opposed to electric vehicle proposal”).
He wrote, “The reality is that if every human, every automobile, every cow, every leaf blower and every power plant vanished from the state of Maine tomorrow, it would have absolutely no measurable impact on the world’s climate in 75 years…”
Mr. Hunt called on the state of Maine to respond to climate change in far more realistic, practical, simpler and less costly ways. If you still have last week’s newspaper, but you missed this refreshing message, go back and read it. It’s a winner!
