Luann Faulkingham
Luann Faulkingham, 69, of Harrington, Maine died peacefully on Aug. 23, 2023 at the Down East Community Hospital.
She was born Dec. 24, 1953 in Harrington, the daughter of Ronello Whittier and Elaine Corson.
Luann grew up in Harrington and graduated from Narraguagus High School in 1971. After high school she married Anthony “Tony” Faulkingham and they moved to Wiscasset, Maine where they raised their two boys, Steven and Nathan. Luann took on part-time work at H&R Block in Newcastle and then transitioned to the Machias branch.
Luann was famous for her cooking, especially her Hot Dog Stew. She was an avid reader, crocheter and animal lover. She loved to beat everyone at Words with Friends. Most recently, her favorite pastimes were playing with her dog Baxter, and watching “Animal Planet.”
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two sisters, Pam Hollenbeck and Candy Whittier, and brother George Corson.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony, and their two sons Steven, his wife Connie, their two children, Madison and Riley of Boothbay, and Nathan of Harrington; one brother Steven Whittier of Rustburg, Virginia and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 30 Town Landing Road, Harrington on Sunday, Sept. 3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Memorial donations in Luann’s name can be made to the Boothbay Animal Hospital, 285 Wiscasset Road, Boothbay.
