The Pats, the storm and lights
The New England Patriots are 6-6 and remain on the west coast for a showdown with the Los Angeles Rams (8-4) on Thursday, Dec. 10. The team then travels to Miami for a Dec. 20 game, and completes the season at home with games against the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.
The Pats showed great improvement in the blowout win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, however, the other L.A. team had won only three games. With a slim chance to make the playoffs – they will most likely need victories over the Dolphins and Bills to have any chance at the postseason – the Pats will probably be cheering for another team to win Super Bowl LIV.
Personally, I would not want to see the Chiefs win for a second straight year. And I wouldn’t want the Saints to win without the great Drew Brees (out for the season) behind his center. I would take the Seahawks or Steelers winning (like their quarterbacks who have been in the big game before).
Do we want Tom Brady to win his seventh ring? Patriot Nation is probably torn on this one. I could handle it but it wouldn’t be the same.

Quite a storm over the weekend! I was one of the lucky ones, being without power for only 20 hours. We do feel sorry for those who went into Tuesday without power. Reminiscent of the Ice Storm of ’98. Let’s hope for milder storms for the rest of the winter.

The region is again quite festive-looking with everyone’s light displays as they lift our spirits during this dark time. Thanks to all who have put up displays as we don’t have public gatherings to enjoy.
P.S. And thanks Mitch for the new pic!
