September Community Writes: Harvest Sept. 5
September is a time when the fruits and vegetables of summer arrive in abundance. The new season brings a cornucopia of goodness, and a balance between day and night. During this time of harvest we take stock of our resources as we seek to restore balance. In this month's Community Writes, we’ll explore what this past summer had brought us, and where we may be headed as we enter the new season.
Together we’ll settle into an embodiment exercise, write into prompts, share our voice, and play in the creative process. We’ll write for process instead of product, for exploration and empathy, to see the world with new eyes, and to know what is deeply true for us. We’ll allow curiosity and a wide mind to guide our exploration. These gatherings are a means to begin telling a story, or collection of stories, that only we can tell.
Community Writes at the Merry Barn: 417 River Road, Edgecomb, Tuesday, Sept. 5, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sliding scale $15-$25.
