Steven Arnold Franz Sr., 60, of West Newfield, Maine sadly and suddenly passed away April 4, 2025.

Steven Sr. was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania Jan. 11, 1965. He graduated from high school at Mt. Abram High in Salem township, Maine. After high school, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard from Wiscasset where he served as a Boatswain’s Mate. Steven Sr. went on to become a Master Machinist, sharing his exceptional skills with many companies, most recently Maine Source Machining.

Steven Sr. was an avid fisherman, hunter, hiker and gunsmith. He loved riding his motorcycle with his son, sharing stories with his daughter, and spending time with people he loved and cherished. He was best known for putting a smile on everybody's face, being the most generous man, and showing everyone he ever met love and compassion.

He leaves behind his beloved children, Melissa Franz and Steven Franz Jr.; his mother, Ann Franz; and his brother and sisters, George, Debby and Heather.

Steven will be remembered for putting a smile on everybody's face, and, of course, his wild and adventurous nature. His laughter and wisdom were gifts to everyone who knew him. He was and always will be the life of the party.
