“Joker: Folie à Deux” - (R; 2 hours, 18 minutes) - Todd Phillips returns with the much-anticipated sequel to the 2019 Oscar-winning Joker. Joaquin Phoenix reprises his role as Arthur Fleck, struggling with his identity while institutionalized at Arkham Asylum. Joining him is Lady Gaga, playing a love interest in this psychological and musical journey. With a stellar cast including Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Zazie Beetz, the film combines drama, music, and suspense. Behind the scenes, Phillips reunites with his award-winning Joker team, delivering another gripping chapter in the Joker’s story. “My National Gallery” – Exhibition On Screen - (LONDON; 90 minutes) - The 2024-25 Exhibition On Screen schedule begins with “My National Gallery: London” for one show only at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct.19. The National Gallery of London is one of the world’s greatest art galleries. It is full of masterpieces, an endless resource of history, an endless source of stories. But whose stories are told? Which art has the most impact and on whom? The power of great art lies in its ability to communicate with anyone, no matter their art historical knowledge, their background, their beliefs. Each interviewee identifies the one artwork which means the most to them, with this diverse cross section of society making surprising choices of both well-known masterpieces and hidden gems.
“The Wild Robot” - (PG; 1 hour, 42 minutes) - Family Film Deal! The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot – Rozzum unit 7134, "Roz" for short, that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling. Harbor Theater is open for 2 p.m. matinees on Wednesday (OCAP – Open Caption Screening) and Sunday (regular screening). Shows are offered Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. nightly. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for children under 18. Member prices are $8 for adults and $6 for children under 18. ADA-mandated Audio Descriptive (AD) and Closed Caption (CC) devices are available for the visually and hearing-impaired. Inquire at the concession stand.
