It’s Pumpkinfest weekend! Come celebrate the season at Lincoln Theater with the feel good comedy, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3.” Then avoid the crowds (and be warm and dry) by catching the live-stream of the Regatta on the big screen. And later that afternoon, bring the whole family for a free screening of the latest Puss in Boots film! Happy Fall!

“Golda” - (PG-13; 1 hour, 40 minutes) - “Golda” is a ticking-clock thriller set during the tense 19 days of the Yom Kippur War in 1973. Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir (Helen Mirren), faced with the potential of Israel’s complete destruction, must navigate overwhelming odds, a skeptical cabinet, and a complex relationship with US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger (Liev Schreiber), with millions of lives in the balance. Her tough leadership and compassion would ultimately decide the fate of her nation and leave her with a controversial legacy around the world. Final showing Thursday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. 

“It Happened One Night” - (1934; 1 hour, 45 minutes) -  The first film in season 6 of Lincoln Theater’s Classic Film Club celebrating the Legends & Lovers of Hollywood. Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert star in Frank Capra’s legendary rom-com, the first film to win Oscars for Best Picture, Actor, Actress, Screenplay and Director. Colbert plays Ellie Andrews, a spoiled heiress whose impetuous marriage leads her rich father to hold her hostage on his yacht. After Ellie jumps ship, a newspaperman (Gable) offers to help Ellie reunite with her husband in exchange for her exclusive story…but they find themselves falling in love instead. We are pleased to be joined at each screening by film historian and CFC host, Jeannie MacDonald, for a pre-film introduction and post-screening talkback. Thu Oct 5 at 7 PM, Fri Oct 6 at 2 PM. “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3” - (PG-13; 1 hour, 31 minutes) - From writer and director Nia Vardalos, the worldwide phenomenon “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” is coming back to theaters with a brand-new adventure. Join the Portokalos family as they travel to a family reunion in Greece for a heartwarming and hilarious trip full of love, twists and turns. Opa! Plays Friday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7 at 2 and 7 p.m.; Sunday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.; and  Thursday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m.

Pumpkinfest Regatta - Live Stream - Free! -  Enjoy the Regatta in the comfort of the Lincoln Theater, streaming live by Lincoln County Television, Monday, Oct. 9 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. If you’ve never seen the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest Regatta, you are in for a treat! Pumpkinboats (400-700 pound, hollowed out pumpkins) are paddled or motor powered in this famous regatta on the Damariscotta River, and rather than fighting the crowds, you can watch it all live streamed on the big screen! This year’s Pumpkinfest Regatta will feature a “Bankers Challenge” with three teams of bankers going head to head! This is a free event, open to the public. No tickets or reservations are required to attend. 

“Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” - (PG; 1 hour, 42 minutes) - Free! - Come celebrate Pumpkinfest with the entire family at The Lincoln! Puss has burned through eight of his nine lives, though he lost count along the way. Getting those lives back will send Puss in Boots on his grandest quest yet. But with only one life left, Puss will have to humble himself and ask for help from his former partner and nemesis: the captivating Kitty Soft Paws. Monday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. Presented by Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta.

“Great Art on Screen - Titian: The Empire of Color” -  (1 hour, 28 minutes) - Winning over popes and emperors with his iconic, revolutionary works Titian succeeded in becoming one of the artists that symbolized the entire Renaissance. In only a few years, Tiziano Vecellio became the official painter of Venice and the utmost artist sought after by the richest and most influential Courts in Europe. From Ferrara to Urbino, from Mantua to Rome, up to the Spain of Carlos V and his son Felipe II, Titian crossed his century illuminating it with his works of art, inspiring future generations of artists. Playing for two screenings only, Thu Oct 12 at 7 PM and Fri Oct 13 at 2 PM. Tickets: $15 Adult, $13 LT Member, and $5 Youth 18 and under.
