"The Wild Robot" - (PG; 1 hour, 42 minutes) - Based on the #1 New York Times bestselling novels for children, written by local author, Peter Brown. The epic journey of a robot–ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short — that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling. "Laura" - (1944; 1 hour, 28 minutes) - Second film in the “Lights, Cameras, Classics” series of the Classic Film Club. From its haunting title song to its shocking finish, this taut murder-mystery grips you by the throat and never lets go. Dana Andrews portrays a homicide detective who’s obsessed with a woman he’s never met, and Clifton Webb copped an Oscar nomination for his role as an acid-tongued columnist with a stunning secret. Movie critic Roger Ebert called “Laura” film noir “perfection.” Film historian and CFC host, Jeannie MacDonald will present a pre-film introduction and post-screening talkback. "Saturday Night" - (R; 1 hour, 49 minutes) - At 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, 1975, a ferocious troupe of young comedians and writers changed television - and culture - forever. Directed by Jason Reitman and written by Gil Kenan and Reitman, "Saturday Night" is based on the true story of what happened behind the scenes in the 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of "Saturday Night Live." Full of humor, chaos, and the magic of a revolution that almost wasn't, we count down the minutes in real time until we hear those famous words ... "Saint Dad" - A Lincoln County Community Theater (LCCT) presentation - Family can push us to our very limits as we grow together, succeed together, and fall flat on our faces together. Such is the case for the Casey family of “Saint Dad,” Monica Wood’s hilarious new play about finding community, reclaiming your beliefs, and a giant moose head. Following the sudden reawakening of their comatose father, siblings Denise, Bud, and Suzanne must convince Leona, the new owner of their longtime family camp, to help them hide the sale from their possibly divine “Saint Dad.” Directed by John Mulcahy. Starring Emily Rose, Christina Belknap, Nanette Hennig Fraser, Gregory J. Hawks, Peter Henderson, and Jennifer True.
