Responding to questions, Wiscasset Superintendent of Schools Kim Andersson told local newspapers via email late Tuesday morning, Oct. 31: “I can confirm that Gina Stevens, Principal of Wiscasset Middle High School, was placed on Paid Administrative Leave. This is a confidential personnel matter.”

Andersson added in another email shortly after: “The principal duties at WMHS will be shared amongst the administrative team.”

Wiscasset Newspaper is seeking any comment from Stevens, principal since last March after serving as interim principal following Charles Lomonte’s departure.
