Words of wisdom … not mine
In these troubling times, we all look for words of comfort, ideas to help us make it through the day.
Over the years, I have collected various articles, photos, staff and personal notes, resumes, recipes, jokes and other “things” that I thought important to save. I place them in the My Projects folder on my laptop.
Opening the folder this week, I discovered it is time to weed it out … there is a lot of ancient history that has no value, like email notes sent long ago.
One thing I did come across that I saved and refer to once in a while is an article entitled, “A 90-year-old’s words of wisdom.” It was written by Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio. I found that some of the 45 items on her list are applicable to the current situation around the world. This week, I would like to share a few. I hope you can relate and feel a bit better after reading them. Have a better week!
Life isn't fair, but it's still good ● It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it. ● It's OK to let your children see you cry. ● Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks. ● No one is in charge of your happiness but you. ● Time heals almost everything. Give time time. ● If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back. ● Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now. ● All that truly matters in the end is that you loved. ● However good or bad a situation is, it will change.● Believe in miracles.
