McFarland earns LincolnHealth’s Van Winkle Award

Harvey McFarland, Chase Point maintenance mechanic, was recently chosen as the winner of the Webster and Elise Van Winkle Excellence in Health Care Award. He received the honor Oct. 8 at LincolnHealth’s annual employee service recognition event.
McFarland was recognized by his many nominators for modeling LincolnHealth's values of excellence, respect, innovation, integrity, ownership and being patient-centered.
“At any given time, Harvey can be seen giving a resident a little extra TLC, stopping to chat with a patient to ask them how they are doing. The residents speak very highly of him and of all the wonderful things he does, such as putting up extra shelving in a closet or fixing things. He knows every resident and is at their beckon call,” wrote one of his nominators.
Webster Van Winkle believed LincolnHealth's greatest assets are its employees. He created this annual award to recognize employees who make significant contributions to the organization and their department above and beyond the call of duty.
