Lisa Carbone, licensed clinical social worker at LincolnHealth, is the featured presenter at LincolnHealth’s Diabetes Support Group this month. The group meets Thursday, Nov. 21 at 1:15 p.m. in the Diabetes Education Room on the third floor of the hospital on the Miles campus.

Carbone will discuss how to prevent stress and burnout that can come from managing a lifelong illness like diabetes. Successful diabetes management can be especially difficult during the holiday season. Busier social schedules, less time for meal preparation and the abundance of food are all factors that may create challenges.

The Diabetes Support Group usually meets on the fourth Thursday of every other month. This month’s date was changed due to the Thanksgiving holiday. There is no cost to attend. For more information, please call 207-563-4518.
