Central Lincoln County (CLC) YMCA will be upgrading its cycling studio with the addition of 15 leased Life Fitness IC6 Indoor Cycling Bikes. IC6 bikes feature a full color display computer and a Coach By Color® system, an intensity guide displayed in colored zones, making it easy to interpret the rider’s effort level.

The bikes are designed to be ergonomically compatible with various body types and biomechanically accurate. The computer monitor will display valuable training data such as watts, heart rate, RPMs, exercise duration and resistance level. The bikes also include a self-powered generator to create renewable green-energy with no batteries required. The bike captures the rider’s energy and the compact generator at the flywheel recharges the bike's integrated lithium polymer battery. CLC YMCA is expecting delivery and installation of the new bikes in late January and they will immediately be incorporated into the regularly scheduled cycling classes.

A benefit of membership to CLC YMCA is free group exercise classes including the indoor cycling classes being offered weekly. CLC YMCA will also be launching Find Your 150 on Jan. 6. This is a self-guided program encouraging community members to achieve 150 minutes of exercise each week with the incentive of prizes upon achievement, cycling is one of the many ways this can be achieved.
