Tapestry Singers invites new singers and previous members of the choir to join the group for the fall semester.

The first rehearsal is coming soon on Monday, Sept. 11 in preparation for the December concert, “’Tis the Season.” The program will include festive music of Christmas, Hanukkah, and the Winter Solstice, performed in the unparalleled acoustics of the Damariscotta Baptist Church.

Tapestry Singers have a variety of backgrounds in musical training, a wonderful mix of professional and highly skilled amateur singers. Their audiences have come to expect something out of the ordinary, new music to challenge their sensibilities, and familiar tunes that are interestingly arranged.

The simple process to join includes an informal audition with Music Director Beth Preston, to check voice range and music-reading skills.
