Usher in the Christmas season with ‘White Christmas’ - the sing-a-long!
The Waldo Theatre is again kicking-off the holiday season with a fun and festive post-Thanksgiving Community Sing-A-Long on Friday, Nov. 24, at 4 p.m. The holiday favorite “White Christmas” will be shown on The Waldo’s big screen in glorious, full-screen Technicolor, with subtitles so that everyone can sing along to the wonderful and familiar Irving Berlin score.
A host, a costume contest, and free interactive prop bags will ensure that every audience member has a memorable start to this holiday season.
“This is a fun way for the whole family from kids to grands to start the holiday season together,” said Susan Hodder, The Waldo’s executive director. “Come share the fun with family, neighbors and friends, sing your heart out, and don’t forget to dress up if you’d like!”
There will be prizes awarded for “Best Adult” and “Best Child” (under 12) costumes. Costume suggestions include dressing as The Haynes Sisters, General Waverly or Emma the housekeeper. Or, for those more creative among us, dress as a WWII soldier, snow, or choreography!
Every audience member will receive free raffle tickets for terrific door prizes donated by local merchants, and refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase.
Adult tickets are $10 online/$15 at the door, youth tickets are $5.
