Garden Club of Wiscasset to learn about micro-greens

The Garden Club of Wiscasset will begin its monthly meetings for 2024-2025 on Sept. 5.
The program at 1 p.m. will be presented by Peter Arnold on “Growing Micro-Greens at Home.” Arnold, a GCW member and former sustainability initiative director for Chewonki Foundation, will provide knowledge about containers, growing medium, seed starting, lighting and upkeep of a micro-green garden to ensure fresh greens all year long.
A business meeting is held at 12:30 p.m. All meetings are held at First Congregational Church, 28 High St. in Wiscasset. They are free and open to the public.
Refreshments follow the meeting.
