The road is called Rabbit Path but it was a deer in a car’s path that led to an accident in Alna September 16. David Chaney of Alna said he was driving his 2003 Jeep Liberty when he swerved to avoid a deer. The jeep caught the ditch and hit a utility pole, Chaney said. He was not hurt and the deer was not hit, he said.  The Alna Fire Department and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department responded to the crash, which occurred shortly before 9 a.m. Monday.
